Description
Tierra Encantada Charter School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Activities Coordinator to lead and support programs that connect students to meaningful learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. This position plays a key role in coordinating Dual Credit opportunities, student activities and fieldwork, attendance and social-emotional supports, and all transportation related to student programming and athletics.

Dual Credit Coordination
• Partner with colleges/universities to support Dual Credit enrollment
• Guide students in course selection and monitor progress toward graduation
Student Activities, Fieldwork & Transportation
• Plan and coordinate field trips and real-world learning experiences
• Manage all logistics including transportation scheduling, routing, vendor coordination, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate permission forms, staffing, and timelines for all off-campus activities
Student Support (Attendance & SEL)
• Monitor attendance and support interventions aligned to TECS policy
• Build relationships with students and support social-emotional learning initiatives
Athletics Coordination & Transportation
• Coordinate athletic programs, schedules, and transportation for all teams
• Attend district/state meetings and ensure compliance with NMAA requirements
• Oversee travel logistics for games and events, including transportation planning, eligibility, and communication with families and staff

Additional Details
• Some evenings/weekends required (events, athletics)
• Travel required for field trips, college visits, and athletic events

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Experience working with middle/high school students preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and logistics simultaneously
Experience coordinating transportation systems, schedules, or vendor services preferred
