Public Education Department releases UPDATED COVID Response ToolKit

A new version of the COVID-19 Response Toolkit for Public Schools was released on November 2nd 2021.  It includes a new Test-to-Stay program to be implemented in every school by Dec.1. Test to Stay replaces the mandatory 10-day quarantine for unvaccinated close contacts, as long as parents/guardians provide permission. Instead, the unvaccinated close contact will receive a rapid COVID test on days one, three and five following exposure. As long as those tests are negative and the individual is asymptomatic, he or she may stay in school and participate in extracurricular activities.
